This information is provided solely for information purposes only, as part of my service to provide sound knowledge about nutrition and gut health and is not to be taken as medical advice. REFERRALS

 

As a Functional Nutritionist and Gut Health Therapist, I am dedicated to enhancing your health. I am also aware of the limitations in the training and the services within my modality. If I am unable to assist you or your specific health concerns are outside of my services and expertise, I will refer you to an appropriate practitioner, such as a medical specialist or general practitioner for further evaluation.

  1. I take considerable care to provide valuable, accurate information, but I cannot be held responsible for how the information is interpreted or used.

  2. Please be aware that the generalised health information I provide is not a substitute for professional medical advice or specialist advice tailored to your individual health concerns and circumstances. 

  3. There is no professional relationship formed between us unless you explicitly choose to work with me by purchasing and following through with my services.

  4. While the work I do is based on scientific evidence there are variables between your specific health concerns and how each individual client responds to a suggested protocol or treatment. Any testimonials and promised results that you may see displayed on this website are based on my experience and those of my previous clients. They are not guarantees that you or anyone else will achieve the same results.

  5. I do not accept any liability for any injury, loss or damage incurred by use of or reliance on the information provided on this website or provided during my consultations. By using this website, purchasing my products and services and booking consultations and appointments with me, you accept that I cannot be held legally liable, and cannot be sued for any damages caused as a result of your decision to implement and/or proceed with the information provided.

Our services are for individuals who are interested in improving their health and are motivated to make changes to their lifestyle and diet. We work with patients to make small, incremental and sustainable changes to their diet and lifestyle. The pace and process of the implementation and changes is always determined by the client’s individual needs and comfort. But if you are not ready for change, or have significant emotional challenges which are affecting your ability to enact change, I am happy to help you identify and accept this is where you are at and recommend another practitioner who can help you work through this.
 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

  1. I will always strive to provide you with the best functional health care and nutrition advice possible. However, if you intentionally withhold or do not provide me with accurate information about your health, I may not be able to offer you the most appropriate treatment for your condition and therefore you may not see the results you desire. 

  2. You must provide me with full and accurate information about any previous and current health concerns, diagnosed medical conditions, medications or supplements you have been recommended or are currently taking, and any known allergies and intolerances, so I can ensure safety of treatment and check for pharmacological interactions with any nutritional changes or possible supplements or lifestyle components I recommend.

PRIVACY POLICY

Jules Mckie Health recognises and follows the requirements of the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. The Privacy and Confidentiality Policy ensures security and safety of all personal details of patients. Breaches of Privacy will not be accepted by this business. Patient information and data will be not be shared, discussed or acknowledged outside of consultations, and all online information will be protected. PAYMENT TERMS

All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars and all transactions are processed in Australian Dollars. If you purchase a service or product from Jules McKie Health, we collect certain data to process your purchase. Payment and billing data will be directly accepted by our third party processing partners like "Paypal", this includes, although is not limited to your name, credit card number, security code, expiration date, billing address and postcode. Please ensure you read their respective privacy policies on their websites. Your credit card details are not stored by Jules McKie Health or shared with any third party provider.
 

I am not registered for GST, therefore my prices do not include GST.

 

FORMS OF PAYMENT

For online consultations, payment is to be taken at the time of booking or no later than 48 hours prior to your consultation or booking. Any additional services must be paid for at the end of the online or in-person consultations.

 

CONSULTATION PACKAGE PAYMENTS

If purchasing 3 consultation packs, sessions must be used within the 3 months from the first attended initial appointment. If purchasing 6 consultation packs, sessions must be used within the 6 months from the first attended initial appointment. 

 

RETURNS POLICY

 

CHANGE OF MIND

Payment is required via direct deposit or in-person at the time of booking your online or in-person consultations (see Payment Terms above) or no later than 48 hours prior to your appointment. There is no refund nor cancellations for change of mind for any purchases made, including all consultations, 3 and 6 consultation packs, pathology tests and items from my website or shop. 

 

CANCELLATION AND APPOINTMENT CHANGES

Please give at least 48 hours to change or cancel your appointment time so others may use the time allocated to you and and to avoid a cancellation fee. If cancelled less than 48 hours prior to your consultation or appointment, then a cancellation fee of the normal consult fee will be applied. Rescheduling appointments requires a minimum of 24 hours notice. Rescheduling appointments within 24 hours of the consultation will be based on our discretion, and may incur a $25.00 rescheduling and administration fee. No shows will result in a booking forfeit of 100% of the fee.

 

If unforeseen circumstances arise, and the practitioner is unable to proceed with the appointment, a full refund or rescheduling will be offered. 

 

This policy is in place to ensure consistency in booking processes and to ensure protection for the business, business owner, clients and customers. As we strongly value your time, we appreciate a mutual value for our time and the time of other clients. If you would like to discuss or dispute a cancellation, please contact us.

 

INTAKE FORMS

For package and program client’s, an intake form and thorough health history and symptoms analysis will be completed at the time of your complete health discovery consultation or will be emailed to the client at the time of booking. We kindly ask that the client complete and return the form no later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time, along with any other relevant health related paperwork or test results. If the intake form is not received prior to the scheduled appointment, it will need to be completed during your appointment. This will result in loss of consultation time. Regular initial consultation procedures will continue, although additional time will not be offered to compensate for lost time. The full consult fee will still be charged, and further consultations may be required to gather any further information needed to properly assess your situation. 

 

ALLERGIC REACTIONS

It is your responsibility to notify Jules McKie Health of any allergies, intolerances or reactions you have experienced previously prior to the initial consultation. If you experience an unexpected allergic reaction to a product suggested, you must notify Jules McKie Health immediately. If you are experiencing life threatening symptoms (e.g. anaphylaxis) you must call 000 immediately.

PROTOCOL IMPLEMENTATION

Please note that all protocol implementation appointments are done online via Zoom and screen sharing will be used to share your results, interpretation and analysis, and to walk you through your tailored gut healing and health optimisation protocol. If for any reason you do not have access to a computer, tablet or suitable device to attend the appointment online via Zoom, then alternative, suitable arrangements can be discussed. This may include an audio or visual telephone appointment. A client may also request an in-person protocol implementation appointment. However, in-person protocol implementation appointments are subject to availability, and dates and times may be limited. Please be advised that any additional costs for clinic room or equipment hire for a requested in-person appointment will be charged to and payable by the client. 


EXPECTED RESULTS

Jules McKie, Jules McKie Health and its employees assume no responsibility or guarantees with regards to your clinical outcomes. Protocol compliance is the sole responsibility of the client, as is the initiative to communicate any issues, reactions or concerns experienced throughout the protocol.

REVISED BLOOD CHEMISTRY TESTING AND INTERPRETATION

Your chosen health optimisation package does not include the cost of any additional testing, or the cost of any additional interpretation or analysis. Any additional requests for further testing, interpretation or analysis will be at an additional cost to the client.

PROTOCOL SUPPLEMENTS, NUTRITION, LIFESTYLE AND MOVEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS

The cost of any supplement, nutrition, lifestyle and movement recommendations are not included in the health optimisation package costs. All supplement, nutrition, lifestyle and movement recommendations will be at an additional cost to the client.

SPECIFIC TERMS OF SALE

Any products suggested are tailored specifically for you and you alone. You must not give and recommend any of these products to family members or friends. All individuals are encouraged to seek advice from a qualified health professional before any self-prescription to ensure relevancy, safety and efficacy, or before taking any suggested supplements or medicine or starting any protocol.

 

LIABILITY
Jules McKie Health holds absolutely no liability for any outcomes you may take after reading the information, including blogs or e-books or protocols on our website. They are general in nature, and are not intended to determine any health action or results without seeking the consultation of your health professional. They do not mean you have a working relationship with Jules McKie Health.
